We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of architectural BIM "Archicad" at Takamatsu Construction. We are currently offering a collection of case studies featuring numerous examples of architectural BIM implementations.

Takamatsu Construction utilizes Graphisoft's BIM software "Archicad" from planning and design to construction. The decision to use this software was based on its ease of operation and the availability of tools for presenting drawings to clients. A complex site involving nine companies is progressing swiftly with architectural BIM.

Introducing a case study on the implementation of architectural BIM by Aruku Design Office Co., Ltd. and Ogawa Kogyo Co., Ltd. A collection of case studies featuring numerous examples of architectural BIM implementation is available.

We would like to introduce a case where a design company and a construction company, who met for the first time, collaborated effectively using BIM in a complex public project. This complicated site involved the renovation of an existing building and the expansion of a new school building, with a total of nine companies participating. Aruku Design Office and Ogawa Industry worked together, transcending differences in companies and positions, with one responsible for design and the other for construction. Quickly create 3D models from survey data using architectural BIM.

We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of architectural BIM "Archicad" at Mine Design Co., Ltd. We are currently offering a collection of case studies showcasing numerous examples of architectural BIM implementation!

We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of architectural BIM "Archicad" at Mine Design Co., Ltd. In a collaborative project with the Architecture Bureau, we received the challenge of quickly creating a 3D model from survey data to effectively communicate the completed image of road improvements to stakeholders, including residents. During the production process, we used BIMx as a viewer for confirming the 3D model, allowing the person in charge to walk through the 3D space for adjustments. Ultimately, we imported the data from this software into Unreal Engine to create a more realistic representation and built a system that incorporated a walkthrough feature. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenge - While production work for 3D models and image perspectives was being done from 2D design data, it was time-consuming and did not convey the completed image for specific locations. ■Result - The ability to switch between drone views and walk mode made it easier to understand. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[BIM Software Implementation Case Study] Forum Groningen

The created drawings total over 28,000 sheets! Temporary support structures used during installation have also been modeled!

The steel structure of the Forum Groningen, designed by NL Architects, consists of eight steel "masses" made of spatial trusses fixed on two concrete cores that serve as the foundation. These concrete cores are connected at the top by a bridge structure, designed to have deflections in separate directions, requiring the steel "masses" to also face in their respective directions. The detailed design, fabrication, assembly, tolerance assurance, and logistics of such a twisted structure proved to be complex, presenting significant challenges. As a result, all of the main structure, as well as the supporting structure of the facade made of natural stone that moves in three directions (2,600 tons), were modeled using Tekla. The design, modeling, production drawing creation, fabrication, and installation were carried out concurrently at two locations, but were executed on schedule thanks to the collaboration of the engineering team. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. [BIM Software Implementation Case] Heating Furnace for Oil Refining Plant

The model object perfectly matches the blueprint! The design team is flexible in responding to major changes!

In this project, we are engineering a heating furnace with an air preheater, platform, and auxiliary support structures. There were two major challenges in this project. The first was the need to fit equipment into the confined space of the existing plant, while also facing constraints in the work area due to project specifications and equipment requirements. Through three-dimensional modeling with "Tekla Structures," we were able to accurately understand all requirements early in the project, evaluate the pros and cons of possible options, and confirm accessibility. The next challenge arose from layout changes to the equipment that occurred later in the project, necessitating extensive additional design work that affected both structural components and auxiliary support structures. [BIM Software Implementation Case] Linnanmaki Amusement Park

Modeling the foundation and ride facilities of a roller coaster, and constructing it between existing attractions!

The roller coaster at Linnanmäki Amusement Park in Helsinki, Finland, began construction in 2018 and was completed in 2019. The project was agreed to be carried out during the amusement park's off-peak season, so the demolition work started after the summer peak season and the attraction needed to be completed before the following summer. Ensuring sufficient distance from existing structures and facilities was a major challenge in determining the shape of the roller coaster, and the varying landscape due to height was also a consideration in designing the foundation. The contractor conducted extensive laser scanning of the bedrock surface at the construction site, and this information was used in the design of the foundation for excavation and the installation of stress anchors.
